No, but it's closely related. Agility is more along the lines of being able to move and change direction quickly.

3B takes better reflexes and a strong arm but the strongest arm in the infield (catcher aside) should be at SS. When playing 3B, the ball comes fast enough that you usually have the time to plant and throw, unlike SS. Well, that's the theory anyway![]()

hahahah It's the "hot corner" not the "hot pocket". And yes since you're closer to the plate, the ball takes much less time to get to you. Assuming the ball doesn't take your head off, once you catch it you have more time to throw the runner out.
