Knowingly keeping terrorists and hiding them shouldnt be tolerated, they f'd up there, they should be responsible for their actions..

knocking out the Taliban would help Bin Laden however, since he is against them, hard to say what should be done

I'm surprised that more people would prefer we just bomb them...

I kinda expected to see more people push for invasion...

Oh well, that is the point of this, to see the response... Keep em coming... :)

The Taliban appointed Bin Laden as their cheif of armed forces at one time. Bin Laden is friends with the Taliban or his arse would have been extradited to the US years ago.

Edit: As of August, Osama Bin Laden was reportedly commander and cheif of the Talibans armed forces...

I am the wiseguy who picked the 5th option. ;)

My answer:

We do not invade, instead we launch as many missles into that area and turn it into the biggest crater on earth. Then we go in and clean up.
Destroy the entire country, put down herbacides so that NOTHING will grow there. waste the entire place.

Afganistan has harbored a fugitive for years, now it is time to treat them as criminals themselves.

So you're a fan of the theory that we only need the Navy, right? Turn 'em into a parking lot with bombs and missles and send in the Marines to paint the lines after it cools down, right?

It is a strong responce, while I understand there are possibly innocent people there who have nothing to do with this, they too may turn into terrorists one day. No one expects their son or daughter to become a nut case, but it happens. To them, we are the infidels, not worthy of living. As long as But Loaden has a chance to preach his hate, he can gain converts. I know that I am posting out of anger, but I am angry, this is an attack at the very heart of our nation. New York is where many come into our country to escape oppression, persecution, hate etc. This attack is an assault on that. It is time we take them on with a vengence. We need to stike hard, and stike smart, with as little loss of American lives as possible, so yes, send in the Navy, no nukes, send so many ICBMs in there that nothing can survive, and then send in the engineers to figure out where to paint the lines.

The shock has worn off, I am tired of our country supporting countries and then they turn on us. What do you do to a dog that turns on you? You put it down for good, so time to put this issue to rest and put down that bad dog. Time to do the job right, Get rid of Afganistan, get rid of Iraq, allow the spoils to be taken (as in oil) and then distributed to American companies so we do not have an oil crisis.

Normally I am level headed, but this is unforgivable. Kill all who are involved, and those who supported them, let their god sort them out.

How about providing proof to the taliban, and request to turn him over to justice?

jehh: I personally believe the motivation for the attacks on America is not just confined to Afghanistan. Others in the region have dirty hands also. It's actually pinpointing which countries are parties thereto is the difficult part.

Here's an interesting snippet from the upcoming Time report:

Even had they known more, could officials ever have contemplated the scale of this thing? The blasts were so powerful that counter-terrorism teams have begun asking the airlines for fuel loads on the plane; aviation experts have been asked to calculate the explosive yield of each blast ?in kiloton terms. The reason? Washington wants to see if the planes amounted to weapons of mass destruction. "What we want people to realize is they?ve crossed a line here," said a U.S. intelligence official. In fact, some senior administration officials are considering drafting a declaration of war, although the State Department is leery since nobody knows precisely who the war would be against.

Inside The Plot

Weapons of mass destruction? Three 100-ton Boeing 757/767 aircraft, loaded with jet fuel. Ramming buildings, full of innocent people, at over 200 miles per hour is, in reality, the implementation of weapons of mass destruction.

They indeed crossed the 'line'.

I'm sorry folks. As a Gulf War veteran, I thought my aggressiveness regarding such matters had subsided after all these years. Thought I'd finally "chilled out". Live and let live. Yeah, it was a novel idea. For a while anyway.

No longer.

After seeing the unimaginable on Tuesday, it's my conviction that we, as a nation, must respond with the most devastating resolve possible; short of nuclear warfare. We must not employ nuclear weapons. However, we have other means at our disposal.

I gives a damn what the bleeding-heart doves whine about. Since September 11th, they will never ever convince me otherwise.

The capture and trial of one man will not solve the problem. The problem is much greater than one man.

Why? If Bin Laden is allowed to run around forever, sooner or later, he will get ahold of a WMD... And he will have no problem using it...

Then it won't be an airplane into a building in NYC, it will be a WMD...

He must be stopped, no matter the cost. Bush, do whatever it takes... It no longer matters...

And that goes for ALL terrorists around the world, go get them all... The world will give you a free hand for the next few weeks to do so, even if it is messy...

Before I forget, someone bring the popcorn...
