All right, here's my situation. Got some extra money and decided to spend it on my computer. My current specs are the following:

Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
MSI 648 Max
512 DDR 2100
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
60GB HDD

I'm debating whether or not to buy a new Abit IC7 because I hear it's the best motherboard for my Radeon. (I think there is a conflict with my Radeon and my chipset on my MSI motherboard.) I'm also debating whether or not if I should get another stick of 512 DDR. I've also been thinking about a scanner but I'm not sure what brand/model (Recommendations?) for scanning my concept art for my game. The last thing I'm thinking about is a Wacom tablet just to mess around with because I'm an artist. They seem neat and I've always craved one but I'm not sure if I should get it. Give me your input.

The hardware speed wise is all about the same level, so if I were to spend money I would add a useful feature (scanner perhaps?)

If you get a scanner -- are you going to use it often? Otherwise, RAM is always good -- games are getting more demanding...

Boy, this is tough. I'd use the heck out of all of them. Anyone ever use a Wacom tablet? Feedback?

I think you current specs are fine, but if you really think your MB doesnt like your videocard, then change your MB. A scanner is not a bad idea. I personally like Epson scanners.
