title says it all!

hmm.. I clicked post, and it gave me the "forum is busy due to high traffic, please retry again later" webpage, so I couldn't go on to create the poll..

is there some way I can do this without creating a new thread?

1280x960 (96 dpi font only) OR 1600x1200 (120 dpi font preferred but not necessary)
16-bit (I really ought to use 32 bit...such an "old school" habit from using too many 3dfx cards :))
85hz (1280x960) or 75hz (1600x1200)
17" monitor (Samsung 750P)

1024x768 (96 dpi font only) OR 640x480 (when grandma plays Solitaire :))
16-bit
100hz (1280x960) or 160hz (1600x1200)
19" monitor (Viewsonic PS790...yeah, my Samsung is better at higher resolutions! :|)

hmm.. I must be weird..

ever since I upgraded from a really crappy 14" monitor capable of only 640X480, I'm running:

1280X960
32 bit
17" monitor

I noticed that my monitor doesn't *officially* support this resolution. instead it *supports* 1280X1024, which isn't 4:3.

heh, not much though that uses that resolution besides large pictures, and some games..

I have a voodoo 3 and play flight sim games at 1280X960X16 at very acceptable framerates! I think my CPU is the limiting factor still (it's a K6-2 400)

has anyone ever tried the flight sim game called X-Plane? it's alot less bloated then MS games..

i usually do 1280x1024 or 1152x864 on a 19"........ i struggle with anything below 1024x768.... and will even deal with eye strain on 15" just for the desk space:) ohh yeah..... 1600x1200 is reserved for 21's

32bit
106.1kHz/ 85Hz
Sony G400

I've gotten so used to 1600x1200 that the other day i sat down and thought someone had changed teh resolution to 1280x1024.

Guess i have good eye sight. All my buddies complain though. ;)

32bit 1600x1200@85hz on V5
32bit 1280x960@100hz on Geforce
Samsung 900NF

I have multiple computers hooked up through a KVM, anyone who wants to see the difference in image sharpness at high resolutions need only stop by my house.

Unh I was running 16-bit color. I stopped doing that about two years ago when some game (Close Combat I believe) said it couldn't run while in 32-bit color. So all this time even though I don't play that game I've been packing 16-bit color. LOL, sad, I'll switch it now.

1280x1024@85hz - if i set it to optimal it goes to 100hz but I don't see my monitor supporting that...
19" Samsung 900NF
32-bit color!!
