I am looking at 2. Asus CUSL2 or the Abit VP6.

I know these are two very different boards. I really like to know if I buy the Abit VP6 and only put one CPU in now, will i be sorry buying it.

I am kind of leary of non-intel chipsets for intel CPU's.

If the CUSL2 series is the choice, then which one. The regular or the CUSL2-c. What are the differences besides one had on board video and the other one does not?

Well I'll start off by saying, you don't have to be leary of Non Intel chips for Non Intel CPU's. Chipsets like the 133A are pretty good actually.. I have no problems with them. So if you wanted a board and it had the Via chipset go ahead and get it you won't be sorry.
And about the mobo you should get: I myself was in this dilemma about a week ago. I picked up an Asus CUSL2-C about a week back and I love it! It's fast and it runs like a champ. So if you are considering that board just go for it! I do not know anything about the VP6 other than the fact it's the successor to the BP6. the differences between the CUSL2 and CUSL2-C are fairly small, there is no support for PPGA Celeron CPU's (533 and below) and a few of the things you had mentioned, you still get ATA/100 and most other stuff, there also is no AGP Pro slot, it's a standard AGP slot. I pretty much just went ahead and got it cause I did not want onboard video and sound, I am not even sure of the full differences but the CUSL2-C is great!

Get the CUSL2-C.
The CUSL2 has onboard video, support for 7 USB ports, AGP pro slot (do ya need one?) & 2 CNR slots, retails @ $ 130.
The CUSL2-C has no video onboard, 4 USB port support (+2, if you add the iPanel), no AGP pro slot & one CNR slot, retails @ $ 109.
Check the Asus website for more info.
