hehehe

that happened to me the other day.

i was in a lane that merges (not construction but just the end of the lane) traffic was about 50/50 between the two lanes and at the merge point it was merging safely, pretty much every other car. then it came to me and the car next to me. the car in front of me merged in front of the car in front of this guy next to me, so it would be my turn next, but he was BOUND and determined not to let me in BUT there was a HUGE space in front of the car in front of HIM.
what a moron, so i just went around the car in front of us and problem solved.

anyway, i've been known to not let people in front of me too, but only those that are obviously trying to cheat the system. in this case that was the merge point. one lane ended gradually and the street signs said Merge Ahead, which means that you merge AHEAD, not at some arbitrary point in the back of the line.

anyway, i thought it was hilarious that this moron was soo determined to prevent me from getting in and i got in in FRONT of the car in front of HIM.

I'm accomodating, but I'm an ass to those who thinks they can zip all the way up front on turn lanes, then zip into busy main lane or thinks they've right of way over my right of way.

what pisses me off is when i'm new to the area. have an out of state license plate and they are not willing to be even the slightest bit accomodating. it's happened where i end up in the wrong lane just because i don't know the road.

You can usually tell the kind of people who goes out to other lane thinking it's faster, vrooms to the end, then tries to get back in. Familiar with the area or not, impatience will not earn you a quick, safe arrival on the road.

Chances are I'm already in the left lane anyway to begin with. When the left lane undoubtedly grinds to a halt partially because of the construction but mainly because of the half-hour-gawking-session factor, I'm not unlikely to pass it all on the median.

Overall when u are let in, you'll be waaaaaay far ahead of the passive people who waited in line. And I'll still save myself a half hour in the process while you're picking your nose 25 cars back behind the tractor trailers cursing at people like me under your breath b/c u don't have the balls to get ahead in life. Suckers :D

Its a good thing punks like you are in the minority. Theres always gotta be a dick that comes along and mistakes your kindness for weakness.

Its all good though, what goes around comes around, karma is a bitch like that...

To the extent you can... seek to control your own safety.. Why does it stress people out for someone to cut in ahead of them?? I don't know. I care less... what is 25 feet at 70MPH ? I just always try to be safe... I WANT that Social Security Check each month... and help bankrupt the system..

Depends. If I've got a huge line behind me and I've been waiting 5 minutes to get into traffic and the bastards won't let me in, you bet your ass I'll knudge in! But otherwise, I wait my turn like everyone else.

...unless I'm on my way to the movies. The screw it: you're on the road? You're fair game! :p
