I am curious as to the military background of the people that read and post in this forum. I happen to be in the US Navy, and I am currently attending college and will soon head to OCS. Share your particular military experience if you wish.

I'm also in the Navy. Chief, 19+ yrs., submariner.

What commisioning program are you in? ROTC, ECP, MECP, NECP? Are you prior enlisted?

BTW this should probably be in Off-Topic so don't be surprised if it get's moved.

Left Views:
If you were/are in the military, and you support it, you are a warmonger.
If you were never in the military, and you support it, you are a chicken hawk/neocon.
If you were/are in the military, and you don't support it, you are enlightened
If you were never in the military, and you don't support it, you are a visionary

Right Views:
If you were/are in the military, and you support it, you are a hero
If you were never in the military, and you support it, you are a patriot
If you were/are in the military, and you don't support it, you are traitor
If you were never in the military, and you don't support it, you are a draft dodger

How's that sum it up? Truth probably lies somewhere in the middle as it always does 🙂

Yeah, that was the idea.

😀😉

I've never been in the military and never want to be, for as my grandparents taught me, all governments only want your money with taxes and your body for war. One fought for Austria and the other America, but they both feel the same way.

Seeing as though I'm 17, I've got no experience. Plan on looking into becoming some sort of pilot after I get out of college- see how the airforce looks at eye surgery in 4 years.

Went to military school as a kid. After that experience figured I would end up in Leavenworth for life if I ever went in to the real military.

Fortunately the draft ended just in time as my number was 6!🙂

i have no military background and don't plan on getting one even if this country uses selective service again
