Looking back in the old days, I played my NES and SNES like nuts when I was in grade and Jr high school. It wasn't uncommon for me to be playing FF II for one whole weekend with the parents yelling to come to the table for lunch and dinner. hehe its sometimes cool looking back at memories. I still play it once in a while, but I haven't played with any console in about a year. I remember pretty darn well that my parents got me a NES on Christmas of 1987 or 1986 and I was still a young little brat. 6 years later, in 1993 I got my SNES. I managed to collect hundreds of games over the decade or so with my Nintendo's. Nintendo was the mainstream games back then. Then it got all boring. I've lost interest in game consoles in general starting around when Play Stations came out. Lets see what was around at the time, Sega Genesis, Atari 64bit, PS one, 3DO, and the heck I know the rest..
I had a 3DO and I sold it within 2month. It just plain sucked.

1995 is about time when game consoles started diverging into countless different types of consoles and you had to buy different consoles to get the game you really want. No more like you get the games to get the console you want.

The current machines that will probably be pretty obsolete in a year or two are N64, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast(isn't it almost obsolete now?), Xbox and probably more crap I don't know and I miss the old days anyhow when you can buy one console and play lots of games, borrow and trade games with friends without worrying about them having different consoles than you and such..

Well enough of writing.. Whats your favorite console of all time?

My all time fave is the classic NES from 1985. That machine was in production for 10 years. Its amazing. Modern gadgetry stuff stays in market a year, maybe two.

I have all the Mario's on my NES and I love Super Mario 3:p

Mine is either the SNES or Genesis. I voted for the Genesis because that's the only one I actually own.

BTW, for those of you in europe/japan, the Genesis is known as the Megadrive outside of North America. Just in case there's anyone who doesn't know that.

Come on....NES has to be the best ever. It just seems to me that games on NES were just so much more fun than games today. The Legend of Zelda has to be the best game ever.

Also, the game "Baseball Stars" consumed many hundreds of hours of my time as a kid. I remember playing that game trying to make money to buy all the best players. Finally when I had a really good team, it seemed that either my brother or a friend would end up kicking the console after losing and erasing the game's memory.

Oh, and didn't you just love how after a while the games wouldn't start properly and you have to do some tricks like blowing on them, or jamming in another cartridge to get them to work? God I miss those days....

Has to be NES. While I did have an Intellivision it was NES that got me truly addicted to gaming. First the original mario which me and my step-bro stayed up all night playing and then Zelda. How I loved zelda. I've probably beat it hundreds of times, used to just pop it in on saturday morning to beat it straight through for fun. Then there's Contra, Punch-out, the other marios and a slew of other greatly addicting games.

Other systems have wowed me but there's nothing quite like the first time you ever really get hooked on a game and not many games since NES have really drawn me in.

SNES all the way! I remember getting my hand on Street Fighter 2 Turbo :) I was in heaven. Final Fight 2, Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 & 3. Yoshi's Island! Final Fantasy III, Mario RPG! Those are the good old days. They don't make games that create such memories like those anymore :(

Where the Hell is the SEGA Saturn? If you were one of those people like me that plays Import games, Saturn has a much better library of titles than the PSX ever had.
