77HP that went through a 3 speed automatic in a 1980 Plymouth Champ. My sister's '71 Beetle with 53HP could beat me to 60. I also drove a 40HP '64 Beetle.
My first car was a 1979 Datsun 210 wagon with a whopping 65hp. Both of my parents had Datsuns as well (1980 and 1981) and I'm sure theirs had a similar engine.
183hp. 1997 Toyota 4runner. My first car. I gave this to my sister in 2000 who then gave it to her in-laws couple years later. I'm going to get it back from them when they're tired of it. It has sentimental value to me as my first car.
~88hp '87 Ford Taurus MT-5 (rare 5-speed 1st-gen Taurus). Actually a pretty good car, our family got about 150k out of it with absolutely horrible maintenance habits. Not technically a car I ever owned, but drove it a bit when I came of age.
Lowest HP car I've personally owned was a '91 Civic LX, had a 1.6L DOHC 16V 4-banger pushing something like 105HP.
I have had many toy cars that were one human power. That same human engine powered all of the cars and wasn't very efficent even by human power standards.
I had a Volkswagen Cabriolet that was only firing on ~3 cylinders (blew the spark plug out of one.... I just threaded something in the make the bitch last me a bit long). They usually have ~75hp... so I think I am close.
I had a Corolla in HS that probably had a bit over 100. Since then the lowest I've had was around 185 with a '92 Camry (I believe that was the rating). My wife still drive a Civic that just won't die...and it has like 110 or 120...something really low.
I drove a '78 (?) Datsun B210 for a while though it was my Dad's - I think it was probably ~75-80hp.
The first car I owned was an '81 Chevy Citation with the venerable Iron Duke at 85hp. I've also owned a '92 Sentra with 110hp and currently own a '92 GMC Sonoma, ironically also with the Iron Duke though with a whopping 105hp.
'93 geo storm with 90hp, worst car ever everything broke and it sucked to drive. After the engine and tranny both went out within a few months I got a V8 and have never had anything less than 275hp. I'm at 350 now and my next car will be 400+. I will never own an underpowered car again. The car would overheat in traffic on a hot day with the AC on.
