Poll: What format for Streaming Video?

Quicktime if quality is important. WM is not bad either, but Real Player can go to hell.

While we're at this thread, I have a quick Q. Do I need anything special to stream media from a website if I encode it in WMV? Someone was telling me I need a RTSP or something like that. (Real Time Streaming Protocol.) Then someone else told me I could do it from any site.

Any links or further info on this? I don't mind RTFM 😛

If you would be interested in details then please pm me or e-mail me here.

Kasterblaster has 100% support for all windows media x & 9 formats for on demand media streaming, and uses its on compression techniques to decrease bandwidth consumption.

Real Format On-Demand streaming is currently still in testing, but should be finished shortly.

The software will be available for public purchase within the next 2 weeks.

thanks, looks like wmv is the winner since 98% of the site visitors use ie and quality is good for both wmv and mov. 🙂
