POLL: What do you use for MP3 Trading?

So what do you guys use? I am a winmx fan, but it seems to be crapping its pants right now...

If you want any added, just let me know

Kazaa lite baby. Almost all ads stopped and no spyware. Sweet deal, just like the old morpheus.

(unfortunately it is still unstable and still a resource hog, can't win 'em all)

audiogalaxy for me. I hardly d/l songs anymore so AG works for me, though I don't use the satellite as I hate the spyware. I use AG stream

I use AudioGalaxy to find new material that I might be interested in, but I use AIM to do most sharing and trading.

<< FTP and newsgroup ?
hmmm... any "enlightenment", PM me for info...

I only use kazza and MIRC
>>

NEWSGROUPS

Download Xnews or some other newsreader..
Findout what your ISP's newsserver is
Look for groups with MP3 in the name

FTPs

Can't really help with FTP's
You just find people that run servers
Really helps if you run a server also
You'll need an FTP client like CuteFTP
You could start at oth.net ...

Hey you all who get full albums could you possibly, In a PM or something, give me some info at what channels or whatnot to check out? Thanks

I generally use WinMX and (occasionally) Audiogalaxy. I'll also scan throught the newsgroups every few days and d/l anything that looks interesting. Nice thing about newsgroups is that people usually post stuff at high bitrates (usually 192 or better).

I've fiddled with FTP a little, but find it kind of frustrating...anyone got links to an "FTP for n00bies" website for me?

I'll toss in a 2nd vote for usenet and private FTP. None of the new generation of file sharing programs can hold a candle to the glory days of Napster. There's nothing more frustrating than finding 20 people with the song you want only to discover that 19 are not downloadable and the other guy has throughput of half a k per second. From the .mp3 usenet groups or trading FTP access with certain people, it's simple and you can grab a complete album in a couple of minutes.
