WARRANTY BE DAMNED!:D

I just take them apart and blow out all the air, lube up the rail, and clean the len(singular?):) with a cotton swap and alcohol.

I use high quality CD lens cleaner kit, which you can buy from most good HI-FI stores.

Cleaning is not needed. Just use compressed air once in a while to blow out any heavy dust/dirt accumulations. Usually you can see a potential dirt problem before you have any problems with a CD or CDRW.

While your at it you might as well blow out the entire case.

Cleaning is not needed, and some people here have even reported troubles after using the physical brush type of cleaner disk.

Bottom line-don't clean unless you are having problems.

Ok guys, I was just wondering if one of those cd cleaners with the little brushes on the underside would hurt the lens itself or would it help. WOW :Q thanks for all the comments and info. :D
