all depends on the circumstances. if they hit me though they better expect to get hit back, and most of the time violence is a big no no with me

also, for those of you who usually just fight for the heck of it. how do you not have fear? i mean, i know some people where i live that have no fear for ppl. someone gets in their face and they just cracked the person. i dont think im capable of doing that. but how do you get like that?

Though I'm not quite like that, you just have to remember that a very small selection of people actually give a damn about what you're doing. Taking BS from some hyena for no good reason is no reason to get mad at all. If he starts throwing punches, ride the adrenaline until one of you is running or out cold.

hmm, yeah ive been in a few fights, and i know that it doesnt hurt. but i mean, just the fear, or i guess knowing that people will make fun of you after you've lost lol.

that part sucks.

i also used to fight people because of what people will think afterwards, and how the person who i was going to fight, would treat me. you know sometimes because you dont want to fight them they look at that as another reason to belittle you and talk down to you and not respect you just because you wouldnt fight them.

Either punch first or take the first punch. Whichever comes first Win some you lose some, never walk away. Better to go down fighting then never fight at all.

In pure legal terms, assault is instilling fear in a person that they will be the victim of assault. Battery is physical damage done to a person.

Oh and it depends on the situation. Most of the time I'd walk away but if they made some comment about my family or something I'd flip and go off on them

Since, more than likely, I haven't done anything to them to cause them to want to fight me, my first impulse would be to ask them Why?. Hopefully, because they're most likely drunk and trying to impress their friends, this will confuse them enough that I can just walk away. If they decide they're not going to be put off by my innocent inquiry, and they're going to go ahead and impress their friends anyway, I'd more than likely pick up the nearest heavy object and try my best to beat them senseless with it. Then I'd probably just walk away..... -kd5-

Oh boy, i seriously hope you don't listen to his advise. If the guy wants to fight you, and you wimp out, your going to get harrassed in school, in your classes, during your lunch break and maybe infront of that cute chick you like.

Speaking from experience, accept the challenge, stay calm during the fight, and try to make the asshole bleed (face). If he bleeds, he'll most probably drop out of the fight. Oh yeah, a few tips, watch out if he is wearing brass knuckles or steel toed boots. Also, make sure you have a friend or two their, just incase his friends get any ideas.

edit: Im also 17 - so by taking the first punch, I smile, maybe a little bloody...but then i end it, check his wallet to see if he is 18 or over...if so, beat myself a little more, call the cops and wake him up.

Uhmmmm mustanggt..I live in Phoenix, Az and havent noticed all that many guns..dunno what part of town you live in...:Q

What part of AZ you in? Ive been in many a fight - worst case had a knife pulled on me, but my pal was behind him and kicked him in his head..lol it was kinda cool.
