I've never really had a problem with leather. They only time that I slide around on it is if it's been freshly wiped down with leather cleaner. Ohte rthan that, it doens't bother me at all

Did have a Black 1988 Olds Cutlass Supreme with a tan cloth (not leather) interior that was pretty nice though but not my first choice.
