when do you feel like you're getting older: i.e. acting older, changing behaviors, feeling older, etc.

just curious. I'd say around late 30's kinda feels like you're beginning to get old.

Old is the age of the oldest guy at the bar at midnight

Of course, this varies by bar, geographic location, ect

i.e. Geekbabe = ancient

Honestly, I think that it depends on the person. My one grandfather is 74 and still an active construction worker. He'll probably be old at 80. My other grandfather was old by the time he was 55.

Depends on what context it's in:

Jay is 60 years old. (Man, that's not very old).

Jay is a 60 year old professional hockey player. (Man, Jay's fsckin ancient).

I voted mid-50's as when I consider someone "old". But after reading your message, I think any age applies. I think we change our behaviors each decade. At 20, I felt older than 15. And at 29, I'm different than I was at 20. But I don't feel old. Tom Cruise isn't old at 40. I don't think you refer to someone as an "old man" until mid-50's or so.

My mother did anything, except jog, at 78 till a stroke took her down.

I voted 80's. "OLD", is when a person gives up, losses focus in life. This feeling can hit any age at anytime. Stay involved in life and do not give up. I know ppl that have moved out of retirement communities because they could not stand being around "OLD"ppl....:sun:

I'm 36. I look 28, act like I'm 12 and feel like I'm 60. 😀

Seriously, though. I don't feel old at all. I still identify with people in their mid twenties.

Of course, the fact that I'm into fitness helps a great deal. That, and being childless helps keep one young. 🙂
