With the latest leagal plot by the RIAA/MIAA to prosecute end users of P2P programs, I'm wondering what action you have/will take in your own best interest.

With as many P2P programs that are out there and with as many people that use them, I haven't the slightest fear in being busted for anything.

Are they just checking Kazaa, or the other p2p's too? I use DC the most, hardly ever use Kazaa. Should I be worried?

My aim is to completely destroy the recorded medium industry by never buying, downloading, watching, or listening to a single recorded thing. I listen to and watch the world that's outside my door.

I beilive that I've got just about everything I'm interested in having. I figure there's no sense in pushing the envelope too far. Sure if there's something I want I'll grab it, but don't expect to see my vast library open to the public anymore.

Personally I was planning on using iTunes as soon as it came out for Windows, though I may have to use something like Blubster just to irritate the RIAA.

I do use Kazaa, but only for anime and those elusive 3rd season episodes of Family Guy to hold me over until the DVD comes out. Dammit, is it August yet?

I hardly ever use P2P, only to check out software I'm interested in buying. I like to get a full uncrippled proggie to try before I buy; nothing worse than wasting good money on sucky software.

I have no fear of being caught. Right now I use Piolet and WinMX for MP3's. But I also pay for Rhapsody, and I would love to see these programs explode. I would not mind paying $25/month so I can listen to all my favorites. The catch is, however, that they better have EVERYTHING, and not just the popular crap.

A worthy and noble goal. I'm thinking of sticking to the never buying (and definitely never downloading) aspects, but the never watching and never listening parts would be like quitting heroin cold turkey methinks...

There was one guy here who got caught using emule...but he's the first case I've heard with emule.
