Is "Get the GC version with a better controller" answer an option?

I'd rather have the GC version, but (imho) the GC controller sucks for fighting games.

For real. I hate that controller. If the Playstation 2 controller were a bit bigger, it would be the perfect controller for all console games.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean that the GC has the least graphical grunt? Cos if so then its incorrect. As the flipper clip is far more advanced than the PS2 gfx chip, and is more bandwidth efficient than the nv2a.

bandwidth efficient? the ps2 chip also has certain spec numbers that are amazing but mean nothing. are you really going to argue that the cube is more capable graphically?

Spawn is awesome. Link is obviously awesome. If I had a Gamecube I'd probably get the GC version cause Link is so damn cool, but I have an Xbox and Spawn is pretty freaking awesome as well. Heihachi...eh... take it or leave it.

One of these days I'll get a PS2 just for the Final Fantasy's, but not until they're really cheap. Or maybe a PS3 if it's backwards compatible and Sony actually figures out how to do anti-aliasing.

Heihachi IS kinda lame. The load times are up to 5-10 secs on the PS2 version. It's especially annoying as hell when you're in the dungeons fighting a hojillion enemies to get to the boss. And they don't even have an option to continue instantly like the Arcade Mode. Instead, it loads up again, which is another 5-10 secs. Blah. I still like it though. 🙂

I don't see how the game can be that much different on either. The GC may have slighly better graphics but Namco did not care to make three different versions of textures and graphics for each system. The main thing comes down to whether or not you like the GC controller.

Either one is fine, I'd probably go with the GC version though. The Xbox was of course what I'd recommend but seems you do not have one so no 720p for you (I hate to call it 720p because it is 4:3).

I dont need to argue it, its a fact.
But im guessig that you are one of those people who belive those "theroetical graphical capibility" sheets that Sony and MS put out.
