POLL: Via KT-133 Vs Geforce 2 / Geforce 2 MX issues?

I'm about to jump on the Duron/KT7 bandwagon and am wondering if anybody has seen issues with this particular chipset and the Geforce 2 lineup. I've seen many issues with Via Vs Nvidia in the past but not this particular combination yet. Thanks for your input!

I`m using Geforce2 MX on a MSI K7T PRO board,Have not had the chance to play all my games since only installed the card today,(120+ games last count)but the ones I have tried work great(Might& magic8,Xcom-ufo enemy unknown,Tachyon the fringe,Star trek-Elite forces(demo),just make sure you install the Via 4 in 1 drivers & use latest drivers for soundcard,plus there have been problems reported with Detonator3 drivers which is being fixed on next update(6.20).

I`m using 5.22 drivers which work great,don`t be afraid to tweak the Bios this can definetly improve stability if you are having problems also don`t buy(if you can help it)cheap ram,use good PSU(AMD appproved if you go Duron,T-bird route with a good fan)you should then be okay.Some people recommend clean install I was lucky, I just got away with reinstalling Win98 os1 over the top(like upgrade).

I agree with Mem. Install the most recent 4 in 1 driver. if det3 driver doesn't work, go to 5.22 or 5.32 driver.

I think there should be no problem. from the fact that if you go and read reviews on AnandTech, all the GF2 cards have numbers from running on Athlon system, it should be good.

Thanks for the input... I've always been able to find a work around in the past, I just wish it didn't come down to that. Why does such a cool platform have to have problems with such a cool video card?? Too much...
