Poll: Veteran's Day sales....

Veterans Day sucks. It was supposed to be a holiday honoring WWI vets, but now it's all mish-mashed together for everyone. Hell, even the Tomb of the Unknowns isn't for WWI vets anymore. It sucks...even our country's most respectful holidays are slowly becoming just another 'sale day.'
 
You guys crack me up. You are bitching about commercialization on one hand and then on the other you bitch when you can't find a job. Get a clue......if companies don't make money there are no jobs for you little kiddies.

I'm all for capitalism, but some people have no shame. Like Kohl's with their "Buy shoes at 50% off for Veteran's Day".

Veteran's Day is a day for reflection and honoring of those who have served our country. They should have some courtesy.
 
Its disrespectful, everything has turned into a ploy to get people to spend money. Look at Sweetest Day, created for the purpose to get people to spend money on expensive gifts. Companys have turned the meaning to most holidays into a money driven necessity.
