When I power up my system it makes a long beep and then 2 short beeps. For an award Bios I know this is a video error. But after tryig different memmory and a bunch of other things I have found that If I reinsert my CPU (athlon Slot A) it will power up fine and it runs rock solid without a problem. The next time I go to power up the machine the same problem occurs. I don't have a another video card to test if it fixes the problem but it seems that this may be related to my motherboard (ABIT KA7) or processor as well. Has anyone heard or experienced this problem?? Any suggestions??

Not really, but I know for experience that ABIT mobos are a little shy at the beginning.
Try to reset the CMOS.

I have had the motherboard for a while now and it kind of just started to happen. But thanks for the suggestion and I will give it a try.

no luck reseting CMOS. I still have the same problem... Could over clocking the front side bus to 115 cause permanent damage?? I had my 700*117=805 for a while but I put it back to normal and still have the problem.. HELP!!!
