well, lets her it ladies and gentlemen!

Some keywords on this subject matter are area 51, majestic 12, project sign, GRUDGE, and magnet.

I personally believe they exists... billions and billions of planets in a universe that is billions of years old and earth is the only planet with intelligent life? What are the odds of that happening...

what are the odds of 2 out of billions of planets having the the same perfect condition to sustain life at the same time and be within flying distance of each other.......

There are considerably more than 2 billion planets. There are billions of solar systems.

Maybe less.. but there are a lot. :p Each one with the potential to have multiple planets supporting life....

Other life forms: yes
Advanced life forms: perhaps
Within a reasonable distance to have spaceships visit: doubt it

Take the closest star system for example. If what we know about matter and physics is true, then it would be impossible to make it there in a reasonable amount of time. Unless 1,000's of generations live and die on HUGE spaceships, it's pretty much impossible.

What we know about matter and physics is undoubtedly true. However, it's also incomplete. I refuse to reject the possibility that someone someday will figure out a viable means for bypassing the lightspeed barrier. (Or, at the very least, find some way of getting from point A to point B without having to travel the space inbetween.)

As for UFOs.. Well, something happened at Roswell, something that the government does not want to tell us about.

Yes, all UFOS do exist in fact. It is just that they are either classified military aircraft (see F117 from 1979 to 1991) or non classified aircraft as seen by drunken hicks.

ehh...i don't believe in them...well not yet at least..hehe

yes i do believe there can be life elsewhere...and intelligent life too...

BUT..the chances of two surviving intelligent species coexisting within flying distance of each other is insanely astronomically miNUTE....the universe is roughly 14 billion years old (space.com reference).....humans lived for only 2 million years...and being able to actually show signs of intelligence and becoming a civilization took place only for thousands of years....

2mil/thousands of years compared to 14 billion....earth being 4.6 billion years old........

you think we'll still be here 100 million years from now?..no speacies even lived any longer than tens of millions (except for the cockroach)

so no, since the odds are way too small...no way i can say ufo's exist unless an alien actually shows up in front of me.......and popular science did an article about this awhile back ago talking about how there are only 2 unexplained official sightings of ufo's.....all others were hoax's, other aircraft, etc...

well, i do have a UFO experience...when i was in the 5th grade, my brother in the 3rd (i remember this very very clearly still in my head)...

I was in hawaii w/ my family (they have minimum speed limits!!! well, back then they did..)....and we were in the rental van..i looked up into the sky, and saw a perfect silvery round ball object flying across the sky...i told my brother to look @ it...he said oh wow a UFO....i looked at it for a good 5 minutes...it's speed was very slow, and it was amongst the clouds...passing through them..(clouds were pretty low....the big fluffy variety kind....)..sunlight was reflecting off of its perfect chrome exterior.....

me and my bro to this day have no idea what we saw..he says they're aliens (he goes to northwestern university on a 7 year med program on scholarship..bright kid...and i'm a stupid kid as a EE major @ university of california, SD.. :( ...well, just saying that we're not crazy lol...we're normal kids)...i think what i saw was just some weather balloon..but don't they go up waay way up into the skky?...maybe it was a weather ballloon on it's way..but i swear it was moving in a straight line...sigh oh wells...

for those who were in honolulu, hawaii in near the end of 1992...that's when i saw it...anyone else seen it?...

but i still won't believe that we have dudes visiting us....i know it's possible..but until i get solid proof then yes...i'll start believing then....hehehe

Solid proof? In what form? Through the mainstream media? I know local news media report on UFOs once every few years, but even then their reports are taken with a grain of salt.

If there were other intelligent life in the universe, then I think technology on earth is primitive compared to what could exist. In a span of less than 300 years, we went from travelling by foot/horses to travelling by machinery at the speed of sound and faster. That's A LOT of achievement in 300 years. Imagine if the human race could survive for another 100,000 years, 1 million years, 10 million years developing technology at its current rate. I'd think we would have something that could travel the solar system in short time.

Show me, then I will believe.

As far as there being many planets, yeah ok. Now do they have life? If so did it develop intelligence? Does that intelligence also have the physical ability to build? Are they social creatures, which would be required to do have civilizations and do research and large scale construction? Do they have intelligence sufficiently like us to understand and want to make spaceships? If so, are they as aggressive as us and kill each other, or destroy their civilization before they can undertake interstellar flight?

The odds diminish

How do you know creatures on another planet would behave just like us? Maybe they are peaceful towards each other and don't destroy themselves like we do.

You know what I have always wondered? What if the conditions on Earth aren't the only conditions under which life can occur? I mean, these conditions are all we know, but what if there are creatures on another planet that are able to thrive in a completely different atmosphere and environment?
