And it's emblem.

Yes, spelling is wrong(just checked at dictionary.com), but even commercial sites use both spellings, so I couldn't confirm either spelling. Just used one :)

Well, the vote at work was pretty much about 60% in favor of just a "T". I guess i'm the only one that saw it.

I see things like this in ads all the time due to the Mass Media course I took at college. The circle is suppose to represent the female repoductive organ and the "T" is the male organ. Basicallly, anything long and skinny is a male organ. The T just adds to it :) The "O" shape represents the female part. I'm not sure how this is proven on the psycological level, but advertisers seam to believe that this attracts people to their product.

Take an Absolue Vodka add for example. Why is that circle ALWAYS in the background? That large verticle bottle taking hte full page of the add? From what I learned in Mass Media, it is not a coincidence.

Just when you look at ads today, start looking for these subliminal messages ;)

Yes, it's a penis...I thought that before I even clicked on this post.

Those Japanese can be real pervs! Have you seen some of their video games? Who else would have coin-op strip poker?!?

I've never seen a commercial site use such a bad and uncommon misspelling. I think you just don't want to admit you can't spel. ;)

And it's not a penis, you wanker. You need to get out of the house, like NOW.

Here's a fun little experiment, go look at the large image and imagine it without the outside circle. It might be eaiser to see that way.

Next you'll be trying to convince us the Audi logo is a representation of female genitalia.

What I can't figure out is why you're so intent on convincing people about this interpretation. Are you a homophobic Ford worker?

I agree. It's too cheesy late eighties/early nineties. Time for a new one.

I don't look for phallic imagery in company emblems.

I never thought about it, and I don't plan to start. ;)

They had a design contest in 1989 to develop the current Toyota symbol. It is supposed to be 3 ellipses that form the letter "T".
