id go with the same, although i dont know too much about the swiftech one. i have a zalman, easy to install and quiet in operation. it replaced my stock intel hsf and my temps went down. i believe the thermalright requires removing the motherboard to install.

No, it snaps right onto the Intel retention bracket.
