So who would you rather have as the quarterback of your team next year? Tom Brady or Drew Bledsoe?

Hmmm, how can this poll be taken seriously? :p Bledsoe is no where close in terms of being able to argue whether he is the best quarterback in the NFL right now.... Brady you can though.

THis question is like asking "would you like to have a suit case full of $100 bills or $1 food stamps?"

I have a better poll: who would you take Peyton Manning or a bag of chips.

This same poll was posted less than 18 months ago and over 70% of people here said Drew Bledsoe.

I just wanted to see how people felt now.

Link to the old post? The only time it should ever have been in question was at the end of their FIRST super bowl season.

Ooh... That's a tough one. I think I would have to go with the chips. May not be much of a passer, but at least you wouldn't have to see the Peyton Manning Face when the chips choke in the playoffs!

Something must have precipitated the results of the 2003 poll, since a lot of people were on Brady's side in 2002.

The original poll was created after the Pats lost to the Bills 31-0 on opening day 2003.

The Patriots have lost a grand total of three games since then.

Are we comparing both of them NOW or both of them in their primes?

If we're comparing them now, you'd be a fool to take Bledsoe.

Bledsoe's prime was quite a bit further out than 18 months. lol

how about this question?

Would the Pats have won those SBs with Bledsoe as QB?

Cause I still see some people hate Brady who said he's still a fluke or that it's all Bellichek's work and any QB would've done the same job (ie Manning) if he had that Def etc... because I remember when Bledsoe was running the show, the Pats weren't doing very well even with Bellichek's system.

The poll isn't comparing them in their prime.

What if it was a bag of NFL endorsed Lays that had Patton Manning's picture on the bag?

Comparing them in their prime is misleading. I'd say bledsoe's prime was less than one season long. And for a few seasons he was not quite as good but still pretty dang good. Unfortunately ran into Brett Favre with a good team and a hunger for winning. Brady's prime... well who knows if it has even hit yet.

Even after the 31-0 loss I am surprised so many people picked bledsoe.

I didn't want to compare them in their prime. I meant today, or even 18 months ago.

I agree with you that I thought too many people picked Bledsoe after the Patriots lost 31-0 to the Bills. That is basically why I was asking this question.

I think a LOT of people felt Tom Brady was a fluke and overrated and were looking for a reason to dismiss his accomplishments. It's hard to do that now.
