POLL: Toast

I think toast is a highly underappreciated fragment of society. For long years has it served, but gotten no respect. I think everybody should reevaluate toast, and what role it plays in your life.

Yeah, most words are like that though. I wonder if if has anything to do with the Latin/Germanic/other root of the word. Doubt it, since it's phonetic.

Anyways, I just finished off some toast with butter and strawberry 'preserves'. (one each)

I've only seen apple butter once in my life. Somebody at my table ordered it on some cottage cheese as a side (WTF?!?!). It was a syrupy dark brown opaque substance. Does that really come from apples? Like... fermented apples?

Toast can be good with lots of butter and a sugar/cinnamon mix sprinkled heavily on top. My favorite is to toast a baggle and then load it up with either butter (so it's dripping) or peanut butter (but gotta do it right away so it melts). Mmmmm

I love toast! I have it everyday. It's best when you put butter on right after it comes out so it melts all over. Then some preserves or something, or sometimes I just use it as a utensil for my egg white turkey mishmash w/salsa.

Toast makes sandwiches taste better.
