How long do you leave your dishes in the sink before you put them in the dishwasher (usually next to the sink...) ?

Yes, this was inspired by roommates, since they are slobs and dont wash dishes until the sink, countertops, and then the table is covered in dishes and glasses. Then they complain how there are baked on stains :disgust:

oh this is for dishwasher owners - I dont have one and my dishes usually stay in the sink for 48+hrs - I am lazy but a dishwasher for 1 person is pretty pointless too...

Baked on stains? Bah.. What I hate is when you open some old tupperware and accidentally inhale a cloud of spores..

Since I've been laid off, I've taken over the kitchen 90% of the time. It is generally spotless. If I see anything on the counter, table or sink, it goes right where it belongs... NOW!

There is no fvcking way I could live with roommates... NONE!

Before I became domesticated by my girlfriend, I used to hide my dirty dishes in the oven. People would come over and see the nice clean counters and sink, and assume I was a clean freak. I didn't really know how to cook anyway, so sometimes they'd sit in my oven for a week.

it has happened to me. I put my lunch bag thing away during a long weekendvacation, pull it out in a few days to find 1 or 2 tupperware containers sitting there fermenting. If you are lucky you get to see the orange eat the green in the container. :)

I recycle the clean dishes in my dishwasher with dirty ones....never ending process.

If guests don't like it...then don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

My roommate has yet to do dishes. Either my girlfriend gets sick of looking at them and does them, or I place them in his room. He has quite a nice stack of dirty, moldy dishes under his bed.
