Poll: thunderbird 850 or some Intel processor ?

Would appreciate opinions about a thunderbird 850 i am considering to purchase;
I am really scared about the high temperature risks comparing it to an intel
processor (Pentium 3 or even celeron).

Here in my country a little market, the best platform is an MSI 6330 lite (KLE133 chipset), but on the intel side we have 694x and intel 815E choices.

Do the intel processors last longer than thunders ? I mean with no overclocking ??
Why so short warranty AMD provides (60 days vs 3 years from Intel)

What would you do?
