Poll: Thermal Pad vs. Thermal Grease

I've seen a lot of debating about which is better(conducts heat better). So what do you think. I know Acrtic Sliver is the king but I want to know what's better between these two.
 
If you don't already have some Arctic Silver, use the pad.
If you have no clue on how to apply the grease, use the pad.
If you don't want a headache, use the pad.
If you have to Taisol CEK933092, or 934092, use the pad.
 
I don't know about other thermal pads, but the pad that comes with the TaiSol is excellent.

I kept it on and got an extra 150mhz out of my 1GHz T-bird. Stable and cool!

I'm no longer a skeptic about thermal pads - at least not the one's that ship with the TaiSol.
 
The pad (Phase Change Thermal Compound) on the TAISOL CEK733092 is Chomeric T725. Note this same hsf is sold as 733002 without the compound. Well applied Arctic Silver will usually produce temps about 2c lower. Most other greases can not handle the heat of a BIRD or OC Duron. Its a known fact that silicone based greases dry out over time when exposed to the high heat and clip pressure of a Socket A cpu. I can't comment on AS because I don't have the info over the long term. Nevin has stated that AS has been tested as stable at 400f and I believe him, don't know if it dries out over time.

PCTC simply is the best solution for most people, 2c is not going to change OC results and don't forget, that little 'pad' adds protection to the delicate core as you install the clip.
