Everquest. I was so addicted that it scared me. I would fly off the handle at anything that interrupted my playing. Even basic needs like eating and going to the bathroom infuriated me. One day it hit me that I was addicted and the next day I had quit and put my character up on Ebay. Got $800 for my character.

Diablo II was my biggest addiction.. started at a young age, and continued for a damn long time. I think I got hooked when I was 12, and didn't stop until I was 14. I finally realized that everything I accomplished in that game meant nothing in real life.

Heh, no kidding.
I spent a month straight playing it 16hrs per day, got a bunch of guys to the top ladder and then you realize that none of that mean anything.
But I did sell a couple of characters on Ebay for money.

I played all of them. Was addicted to all of them (to varying degrees).
D2 levels fairly fast and doesn't have a lot of timesinks.
Pokemon ends.
CS is easy to stop when the round ends.
UO didn't have as much emphasis on leveling as EQ.
EQ was most addicting by far. I probably spent more on downtime than playing other games.

My personal worst addiction had to be Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. I played it so much, I drempt about it.
