Who do you think it is? I've always thought the beastie boys. I know they have sold the most records, but I did some digging on Morpheus and found some by 3rd Bass, "Gas Face" and "Pop goes the weasel". Listening to them made me realize how good they were. Who is everyone elses choice?

Korn, bizkit, (basically any band that has the rap/metal mix) is usually defined as "nu metal" although some people call it "rapcore." And in 10yrs we'll all make fun of them the same way we make fun of Poison today. To Korn's credit though, they boot strapped on their first album. No/little radio air play but they still managed to get a huge following behind that album. Their genre became Mtv's b|tch and they (and bizkit) became Mtv's poster boys for acceptable pop rebellion.
