You know what? I won't help. Call me a dick, but I haven't done anything good with my life, and I don't want to die without accomplishing something. Until then, I don't care.

I think that, if I had kids -- and saw a mother and child cowering, I would probably help.

Now if the mom was butt-ugly...well I dunno. 🙂

I do not fully understand the situation. Are the people just blocking my way or everyone's way? or can the plane be saved if they move? I don't get it.
 
I push them out of the way and jump off the plane to save myself. 😀

Are you assuming that having an SO will affect how people vote?

Also---chances are more likely that everyone in the plane is going to die.

Also---in situations where there are large groups of people in trouble, I will screw over anyone and everyone to survive. However, if it's 5 plane survivors wandering around the woods in the wintertime, I would absolutely be willing to pitch in and help to make sure that we all make it.
 
If they're like, standing at the emergency exit door and stepping onto the emergency slide, I'm not going to bull rush them so I can get out before they do. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too much "help"... it's pretty simple-- just get out of the fucking plane.

I didn't think that far. All I know is, either you or them.
 
Before I had kids I would have probably said "save myself", but once you look into the eyes of a child who looks up to you, adores you and depends on you to protect and take care of them, your perspective on the world changes and you realize how selfish you've always been.

So you would give up on seeing your own kids, who adore and depend on you to save the life of strangers? 🙁
 
So you're asking at what point one would be willing to trade one's life for another's?

Unless there are people standing around pointing guns at my head and setting up arbitrary rules, I can't think of a single feasible situation where you could actually expect to literally exchange your life for some else's. The closest situation I can think of is a fire, where you run inside to rescue someone else who is trapped, but even then, there's no guarantee that both or either or any of you will make it out alive.
