I see how everybody recommends EP-8KDA3+ or MSI K8N Neo Platinum -- do these support 1G HT?
(Somebody mentioned Epox supports it with the latest BIOS, what about MSI?)

I'm not sure if its going to be important, but I am going to run some pretty memory-intensive apps...
The AT review found that Epox overclocks better but does not support 3 DIMMs, is it still the case with all the bios updates and stuff?

What about general stability? (I have an old Epox AMD761 board with its nice large capacitors still running fine 24/7 for over 3 yrs, but my gf's newer K7T266 died during this time...)

thanks! and sorry for starting another topic.

K8N-Neo-Platinum is a RAM sensitive board.
Make sure you have a chance to replace the chips u get for it in case it wont work well.

I had serious issues with memory in the k8n neo, which is why i returned it and went with the asus k8n-e. You should add the asus and the dfi board to your list, as the asus is a solid overclocker and the dfi will probably be the best overclocker for single channel a64's.

Thanks.
OK, here is the updated poll.

the epox does support 1 gig htt

the newest bios 7/9 or 7/16 both offer a 5x LDT setting to get that 1 gig mark
