I recently read a series of posts at the link below and even I was confused about where the main SETI team page was located.

Anybody confused? Hell, so am I, and I host the "main" AnandTech SETI page.

I don't know why we need THREE team webpages. We currently have the following pages dedicated to AnandTech SETI:

As I have said before, I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM GIVING PEOPLE ACCESS/RIGHTS TO THE SETI PAGE. If you honestly can contribute to the page, then you can get a login/pass. The "main" page (worldkey) is currently co-hosted by Orange Kid, Office Boy, and myself. Somehow we still ended up with multiple pages, two of which are by office boy and Orange Kid (doh!). I assume is a bit confusing for some people.

As for Anand's page/link, we'll figure that out when it actually happens (i.e. yeah right!).

Here's my point. Can we PLEASE bring this down to ONE page!?!? If you (office boy, orange kid, or anybody) want to move the "main" page to your site, no problem, I'll kill the worldkey page and put a link to your site, and you can take it all over. If not, lets combine them.

Everybody place their votes here. I'm open to whatever works for the most people. All of the sites are for the team and nobody "owns" them.

Orange Kid's design is the design we agreed upon for the main site at http://www.teamanandtech.com. Maybe if we put the worldkey info on Orange Kid's site, it would encourage ViRGE to get the new site up. (Hint!)(Hint!)
 
As soon as Teamanandtech.com is ready to go up, Mika and I will finalize the code needed for the DB, and then ship OK(or whoever does the site design) a default template to make pages with.

I only started my page as a sort of test site and it has evolved from there.
It has become easier to do the stats I do on this server as I dont have to FTP everything each day. It is on a dedicated machine at my house with a cable connection.It seems to be less time comsuming this way.
I never meant to compete with your site and will put the stats back there if this is prefered. Also add any relevent stuff that you would like.
I still do update the site at your server ocassionally to reflect changes in the main page or anything else that is needed.
I dont know what kind of space limitations you have but with all the archives(past months) I've got, it is going on 20+ mb for what I have up.
I have always felt that what I have going here was just to complement the "real" site, yours.
If i have stepped on anyones toes i am truely sorry and will cease and desist.

No toes have been stepped on. I'm suggesting that we combine it all to one site. Lets do it.
 
Hows this?
A redo of your site in teamanadtech style and get nexus9 to add his stats to it as they are self generating(I believe). I have no idea what his stats require.
I feel this might be the best of all worlds.
 
Being new to this, I only go to the site that is linked from the TATech team stats, which I assumed was the "Official Page." It takes me to maltzone, once I look at the stats I head for the team board that is linked from maltzone. Never knew the others existed. After reviewing the other sites I like the looks of Orange Kids page and his idea of linking all of this stuff together into one killer page! 🙂

Your site design looks great. I have no problem going to that format. Does everybody like that format? Are there any comments from the team?

Which server should it be on? My ISP really doesn't have a space limit that I know of (within reason, it's a friend of mine).

Nexus9/Matt - want to relocate your stats? If not, want to take the whole site over with a few co-admins?

Officeboy - Are you OK with taking your site down and bringing all the good stuff to the one surviving site, assuming we can all agree?

 
Yep, my stats are ALL self generating. I gave a very early version of my code to Mika. Right now my site runs on a very old sun worstation(thus the slowness), and is perl, mysql, and php. I've ported it to linux with no problem, but it'd be a bit of work getting it to run under NT. Whatever happens, I'd appreciate a link to my site from the official site.

rob whatever you want from my site.. And when your done, it can drift off into nothing.....

Not sure what you might want, except for maybe the little stats lookup thing...
 
While you're at it, maybe you can make a few little corrections on the dates. Orange Kid and Nexus9, both your sites list "stats for [today]" when it should be "Stats for [yesterday] generated [today]". I think that may also explain why Nexus9's "weekly" TA stats only sum 6 days.

Edit: Wow! That new graph is neat, Nexus9! 🙂 Think maybe you could make up graphs of the participants' weekly movements like Office Boy did? (Pleeeeeze! 😉)
 
as far as purtiness goes, i like nexus9's site the best, although it is a little slow, but as it has been said, the worldkey, homepage, and orangekid sites all offer good information. i check most of the pages everyday just becuase i'm so into the stats element of seti. if a single site can come out of this thread, then i'm all for it.

I think combining the sites would be a good idea.
Ref OB's inactive stats I think it would be nice if we could at least keep the graphs in an archive
 
Ken_g6 - actually, I changed it to 6 days a few weeks back, when the seti web site was having problems... I just changed it back to 7. Since it's just a variable, I could set it to whatever I want. In fact, I've been meaning to put monthly (30 day) stats up. Office Boy stats are also on the way - right after I finish Diablo II 🙂
