Poll: Talk radio Yay or Nay and why

not really my thing, when im driving or whatever I prefer to hear music. I can hear political retards anytime of the day.

Only when I'm driving and stuck in traffic. I listen to Tom Leykis for amusement. As for Howard Stern, I prefer to watch his show.

BBC Radio 4

sports, news, poilitcs, science, current events, plays/dramas, gardening, cooking, comedy... i love it.

Talk is the only thing left worth listening to on radio.
99.999999% of the music on traditional radio is absolute crap.

hate it. blowhards trying to fill airtime.. then u got the ignorant callers from the ignorant fanbase calling in to yammer. its just rather sad content free media. its a bit like our version of the mullah and his flock of followers. ur better off watching mtv, atlesat some aritists have talent😛

Danish Radio P1: Politics, news and culture.

more or less the only radiostation I listen to at home.

Radio 4 and occasionally Radio 5

The only talk radio I listen to is Coast to Coast AM. I get a kick out of some of the nutjobs that come on there, its usualy a good laugh before going to sleep.
Though last night I listend to Matt Drudge for a while before sleeping, because CtC wasn't on yet. Not a bad program.

If you allow 24 hours news--YAY.

AFAIK news != talk

talk = pointless, "witty," often classless babbling
news = informative, cut and dry, direct and purposeful

By that definition "Nay" to "talk" radio.

I listen to WJR in the morning to catch up on local news and Paul W's show is so scheduled you can tell the time just by what they are talking about (weather/traffic/etc).

I listen to Bob and Tom on the way to work just 'cause I usually find them funny.

Other than that, I "surf" looking for music that I like.
