Poll: Subbed or Dubbed?

I'm curious to get an idea as to what most people prefer. I've watched a lot of anime in the past, all with subtitles, and I'm not bothered by them at all. Infact i very much prefer them. When i see foreign stuff on TV that is dubbed, I almost always can't stand it. Starz always shows foreign movies with dubbing, stuff i was looking forward to seeing, but I can't bare watching it, because dubbing is just so bad I think.

I dunno. For movies dubbed is ok but for porn it sucks. WhyTF dubbed porn even exists i'll never know, but it is HORRIBLE.

I like having both.

Sometimes it's nice to watch an anime in english so that I can stay focused and enjoy the animation/art instead of reading subtitles.

Which isn't to say subs ruin visual enjoyment, but it's just not the same when your eyes gravitate to words.

subtitles...that way the audio is basically guareenteed to be perfect for msot films and you get to see what people sound like....

Uhh...

Anything in foreign = subbed.

I rather not see voice dubs where it doesn't match the movement of the mouth..

Indeed. Worst is how they ruin perfectly good characters by not having a voice that fits.

Sub snob here.

I've seen a few acceptable dubs here and there, but most of them completely blow. And even the decent ones usually trip up in a few places.

The only downside to subs is that some of the more verbose titles---GitS especially---move too quickly to read the text fast enough. Of course, a quick pause or rewind fixes this.

P.S.: Die, 4Kids!

I prefer subs. But the language is all jibberish to me, and I can only take it in small quantities. Sit in front of subs for like 4 hours straight and I'm ready to go crazy.
