South Park for sure. B&B is good if you're younger than 14 or so but any older and you should really be ashamed.

South Park, I recently got the B&B DVD and I was amazed how stupid it was after about teh first 3 episodes.... I would laugh maybe 3 or 4 times an episode.

South Park is much more cleverly written and there is a lot more to it because of all of the characters. It doesn't mean that I don't think Beavis and Butthead aren't funny. It's just a stupider brand of humor is all. If you ask me to compare the Simpsons and SP, I would have to say the Simpsons for sure. The writing on the Simpson's never ceases to amaze me. I can't believe that they can keep it this fresh for this long. I was ready for Beavis and Butthead to end. Same goes for Ren and Stimpy. It just ran its course.

South Park by a mile. B&B was humor on the intelligence level of 4th graders. B&B is nothing more than the same jokes about bodily functions (and slang names of body parts) over and over. ("he said stiff. huh huh huh huh)

In addition to being just as funny (funnier, actually), as others above have said, South Park is actually a commentary on society. So, we're laughing at society at the same time we're laughing at what the characters do. I can't think of any other shows (other than news shows) that have been so up to date on the issues at the forefront of society, yet show us how ridiculous society has gone with their concerns. i.e. child molesting priests, gay scout leaders, SARS "Stan, I'm sorry, but I have SARS and there's only a 98% chance that I'll live," war in Iraq, metrosexuals, even downloading of MP3's

I suspect this South Park craze has more to do with the average age of the voters here, rather than it being any better than Beavis & Butthead.

Nothing wrong with either B&B, or South Park. They are 2 different genre's of comedy animation. Both require being stoned.

I'll never forget this part, the ATF man smashes this teachers guitar for no reason.

B&B gets my vote as I feel it's just clasic stupidity, southpark has a bit more depth to it.
