Since my current gamer rig is a Intel i875PBZ mobo, yes, I'll be upgrading. Not sure if it'll be this particular mobo. I definetly want SLI and X16. Waiting to see who comes up with something that meets my wants/needs. I really like ASUS but their current mobos (A8N32 & A8N32 Deluxe) look like they'll have problems running two vid cards in conjunction with a another pci card. I really want to be able to run a seperate sound card. I might have to wait for DFI or some other manufacturer to come up with a better layout. Waiting patiently to see what the consumers have to say about this mobo.

Yes, but because of the 8-phase power, true x4 PCI-E slot and nice silent heatpipe cooling.

you also might want to look at this http://www.msi.com.tw/program/newsrelease/news_page.php?UID=444
16x sli and heatpipe cooling like the asus, but MUCH better layout. its actually possible to use 2 x gpu's each with a nv silencer on it (they take up 2.5 slots each), and also a sounblaster card in the bottom orange slot.

yup, that's the only reason why I went with the A8n for the time being instead of waiting for the A8n32, poor layout. The MSI does look promising though...

Hi,

I just ordered this board for my first build, so I'm quite new. Could someone elaborate on the "bad layout"? I have an X-FI XtremeMusic sound card. Will it only give me problems if I wanted to go SLI with two graphic cards?

And when is the MSI board going to be released?

Yeah, I saw that MSI version already. Kinda a shame ASUS hasnt figured out their mistake yet. I got my eye on that MSI mobo as well. I'm thinking DFI will probably come up with a good layout as well once they get around to it. Problem is being patient and waiting. LOL

PL,
The 'bad layout' people are referring to is that ASUS spread the new X16 slots out but they didnt really leave adequate room for adding a pci card of some type if you install two video cards. Especially if you install two overclocked video cards like the ASUS n7800GTX TOP or the eVGA 7800GTX KO. At least it looks like there is inadequate room. So far all the reviews havent really touched on the issue much to our chargin. Pictures taken give the impression there doesnt look like room left for adding a extra pci card. We'll know for sure once some buyers get their hands on the two ASUS A8N32 mobos and give a complete review. Hopefully this coming week.
