POLL: Simpsons vs. Family Guy

I'm speaking in terms of today.

Obviously, Family Guy can't rival the tons of amazingly funny seasons the Simpsons have consistenly put out, but FG is friggin hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

Currently, Family Guy may have the edge.

However, when looking at the series as a whole, Simpsons dwarfs any animated competitor.

Saw the new episode of the Family guy last night along with Futurama!

The Simpsons as well as these 2 other shows absolutely rock!

I think I might even like the Family Guy a bit more than the Simpsons. the new episode was HILARIOUS!

I completely agree. Simpsons has been the clear animated leader for a number of years.

I just find it interesting that there's finally another series that is at least as funny, if not funnier, than the simpsons.

I mean can you BEAT a chacter like Quagmire (sp?)

Family Guy is targeted more towards adults....Simpsoms appeals to both children and adults. I tend to like the more adult humor in Family Guy. I have almost every episode on VCD....missing a few, but have the best of them.
Simpsons is definetely getting long in the tooth....since Matt Groening left the humor is not the same....it is getting tiring and predictable.
Anyone watch Scrubs? That show is awesome.....they should make it an hour long and put it against boring ass ER....it would probably stomp it in the ratings. ER is getting old too.

Family Guy cracks me up, but the episodes are basically a bunch of one-liners/sight gags one after the other. Not all of them work.
Like last night, when Peter was taking the French class and he was laughing because "Yes" in French is "Oui, Oui"? That part just fell completely flat for me.

EDIT: I shouldn't have problems watching this should I? The region 2 movies aren't like PAL encoded are they?

Yet the RIAA and MPAA wants to know why we want to be able to copy DVD's.....if they really wanted to make money they would release DVD's in all countries at the same time. WTF are the DVD Regions for anyway...I never could understand why they made them with different regions. Why can't I go to China and buy a DVD and come back to the states and play it? This is so stupid.

Don't blame the player manufacturers for region coding though - this is mainly the fault of the movie studios (the MPAA) so they can stagger movie releases throughout the world. The movie studios are concerned about piracy, but when DVDs are fairly cheap and some countries have released only a handful of DVDs or the DVD only applies to that country (eg Japanese Animation films, BBC videos etc) why make life much harder for the poor consumer?

Normally, I would have said "(other show) cannot even compete with The Simpsons!" But being that it's Family Guy, I would say The Simpsons have the edge, but it's not a landslide.

That's as kind as I can be when talking about any other show.
