WASHINGTON - The Clinton administration has asked Congress to grant extra aid to Israel - to the tune of $450 million - in addition to the $2.78 billion it already gets.

NFW! I think we need to spend that money to support the advancement of our own country. The money is needed here. We get too involved in other people's wars. :|
WTF - I can understand giving money if a country needs it for food or something like that, but for beefing up their defenses. Maybe they should stop shooting everyone. :|
No, the US should cut off all aid to Isreal till it complies with the Geneva Convention (specifically in relation to article 49, paragraph 6 - which means returning all land illegaly confiscated from Palestinians, & paying restitution for the period those lands were confiscated for) & the 1906 Hague Convention of Human Rights (of those living under occupation - which means stopping all Israeli settlements on Arab land & allowing all Palestinians evicted from their lands the right to return home).
Until Israel complies with the Geneva & Hague conventions its a war criminal state. Actually any country that provides aid (other than food or medical aid) to a country that isnt complying with the Geneva & Hague conventions, is breaking the Geneva Convention itself. Which means the US is commiting a war crime, itself. That's why no other govt gives aid to Israel - the only reason the US does is because of the huge Israeli/Jewish lobby in the US, which has many if not most US politicians in their pockets (for example at least 3 members of Clinton's cabinet are former members of the Israeli lobby). Hence Israel getting nearly $80 billion in aid over the last 30 years from the US govt. Which is more than what the rest of the world gets combined, actually the tiny country of Israel gets 250 times more US aid than the whole continent of Africa does.
IMAO there should be a total UN embargo on both Israel & the Palestinian Authority, till they both stop playing silly buggers.
Sure the Palestinians have the legal right (under international law) to kill Isealis (see the 'Polish Precedent' below***). But they have to realise its not going to get them anywhere - Isreal is just to powerful, particully with its big brother, the US, proping them up. However, the Israelis must also realise that they'l never have peace or real security till the Palestinians have justice, for the past crimes & racist policies commited on them by the Israelis.
****The 'Polish Precedent' referrs to what happened during WWII, when the German govt orginised many German Farmer families to settle on land confiscated from the Poles. Well the Polish Underground radioed London to find out what they can do about it & the United Nations (a termed first coined in 1941 to describe a meeting of Western Leaders in exile - Poland, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Begium, etc & the British Commonwealth allies - Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc) decided that as the German settlers were volunteerily choosing to settle on confiscated lands, then they should not be adversed to the risks of war, as such the Polish underground were told they were free to attack & kill these German settler families. Well because of this precedent Palestinians also have the right to attack & kill Israeli's who volunterily settle on land confiscated from Palestinians.
