My reasoning is that no one learned Blacksmithing from a book. Basic trade skills are not academia. Especially not back then. Someone who knew the labor, showed others how to do it. Simple as that. I refute that reading was relevant to the subject.

Apply to our people the same standard as you would an Orc. Because we are all human, and definitions of evil come from our actions. You give them too much credit if you think it is beneath them to endorse slavery. Most of human history involves Slavery. Hell, it can be argued that Caste systems and Dictatorships are slavery where the plebs serve and live at the whim of a master. Maybe not slave in the traditional sense, but a lot of humans today are certainly not living in what we would call freedom.

Greg wouldn't last 1 month in the German concentration camp. Yea, its easy to talk about the so called "benefits" while you're inside an air conditioned room, and you are being paid well, and can easily find amazing food to eat. But, try that while living in a concentration camp. Conditions were horrible. The prisoners were given watery soup and a very tiny small piece of bread to eat. They slept 2 prisoners on a very small cot. Lice and disease were big issues. They were forced to walk in the snow at 5am with minimal clothing. Shoes didn't fit properly. Many prisoners froze to death. They were forced to dig ditches for hours in the snow, sleet and rain. Hot and cold weather. Death was present. It was everywhere. Many of the prisoners were forced to cremate people they knew. Like I said earlier, the conditions were horrible. it didn't make you a stronger person. Many had PTSD after the war.

The one thing I agree with greg is "Mans Search for Meaning" by Victor Frankl is a very good book.
