I was about to post a World Cup poll and gave up after it took 5 mins to enter one option.
The server is getting way too slow.....I find myself coming here and posting less often.

So should I bite the bullet and subscribe?

Take the poll

It's not like you would be paying for it. Your parents would.

if you like blazing fast surfing, then go for it. if you just lurk a little bit and like slow sites, then don't.

You never felt the need? You joined the forums, like, yesterday?

Main benefits:
1) The subscriber servers aren't bandwidth limited
2) Higher PM limit (for the people that actually use them)
3) Full text searches

Actually, the Law of Supply and Demand says that if people don't buy the product, the price goes down. The more people that buy the product, the price goes up. One encourages the customer to buy more of the product. The other takes advantage of the customer's already buying more of the product. So... if nobody pays for the service, the price should eventually drop to get our sorry asses to pay for what we're using. And, if everybody pays, then Anand, by the rules of that law, would raise the price to take advantage of so many people subscribing.

Now... who's to say that Anand isn't just a really nice guy and won't work it the opposite way? I dunno... but that's what I learned in my econ classes. :)
