[Poll] Should I join the Columbia DVD club?

4 for 49 cents each plus shipping (and membership processing fee, whatever that is). Good titles too. Buy 4 over the next 2 years at normal exorbitant club prices. Good deal?

4 DVDs @ 49 cents + 1.99 shipping each + processing (lets say $1 each) = 11.96
You have to buy 4 over 2 yrs, so why not pick up the $14.95 deal so 3 more to go = $14.95 + 1.99 sh + processing = $17.49

Then 3 more .. at least $19.99 apice + $1.99 sh + processing = $68.94

$98.39 at least ... for 8 dvds .. $12.30 each.

But you will probally get some damn auto ship, so thats alot of trouble to return them. These are conservative figures, could cost alot more.

Yeah take their dirt-cheap DVDs and give them the finger afterwards. I did that 3 years ago and nothing happened.

I've done it about 8 times so far, join, buy the DVD's, close your account, wait 30 days, repeat.

It may be a new feature on the CH site or not, but if you go to your account, you can select YES or NO to recive the director's selction for that month. Sort of like an opt-out, except you do it every month (assuming you keep the same account, instead of closing and opening new ones)
