[poll] Should I buy a used 10GB Ipod for 250$ Canadian ?

I noticed that someone in my class had two Ipods today, they said that they had two because they bought a bigger one with christmas money or some sh!t. Anyway they are willing to sell the 10GB older one for 250$ canadian, it's a year old. After just watching that Ipod revolt video that said the batteries only last 18 months, I'm very hesitant.

But I will ask for the undisputable knowledge of ATOT.

Should I ?
 
I see now that the NEW 10GB ones are only 349$ here, and they are the super slim ones.

I'll offer them 200, no more. Still, opinions ?
 
thats about $192 american, if i did that right. I just got a brand new 10GB for $236 from Amazon. Not a good price
 
[rant]I've ownew two Ipods and a couple of other mp3 players. The Ipod only wins on design and ease of use. The only reason I own one is because I had one gifted to me. For that money look into getting a creative nomad zen or rio karma. They sound quite a bit better and have many more functions. Plus you can get 20-60Gb depending on the model. Ipods are a tool of elitist computing. [/rant]

or those who value portability. I would ahve picked up an iPod Mini, if they would have been shipped by now. It's all about size.
 
I want one so that I can transport my school files on it, as well as music. Can you load files onto other Mp3 players ?
