I have an Antec KS288 for my primary box and an Enlight 7237 for my secondary backup box(aka something I can use in case my main box goes down). Although I know the 7237 is the coolest case in the world and everybody loves it, after looking at it for 3-5 years I am tired of it. It looks pretty ugly next to my new Antec. So the question is, should I

1) Get a nice new fancy case, maybe another KS288 so I can have two equally nice cases. Cost = ~$80-100

2) Get a new nice case to replace my new KS288 and give the KS288 to the secondary box. Cost = ~$80-100

3) Get a window kit and neon tube lighting for my Englight 7237 and mod it. Cost = ~$50-65

Thanks for any ideas!

Screw getting a new case. I thought about the same thing too... Best thing to do is keep the hunk of metal and go for a new P/S. Like a 300 or 400 watt Ennermax! :) WhooHoo

I would always say, mod the Enlight! With a case like that, there is no reason to buy a new one.

Keep the case, want some suggestions? Remove the side panels and top and front panel and buy some nice spray paint and clear coat. And make it look radical!!!! Want that aluminum case look easy, silver paint or gold. You could even go neon colored. Paint is cheaper than a new case when you got a nice case already!! They even make a nice specled paint that looks like rock. Um I wonder how popular designer cases like that might be hehe. Wish I had a friend that painted cars, I would have him do my case ferrari red. HEHE

Have a nice day!!!!!!

I'd go for:

4) go extreme and mod the hell out of the Enlight 7237, such as WIERD paint job, as WarCon said, as well as the window kit and neon light

or

5) buy another KS288 and give me the Enlight 7237 :D

Do you realize how much it costs to mod a case? Today I spent $22.00 for a dust mask, safety goggles, plexiglass, a tungstein carbide tip and a sander tip. Last week I got a mandrel and fiberglass cutoff wheels for another $10. Then I ordered weatherstriping for the window and that cost me another $22. That is $54 and no paint yet. Mother of god. I kinda am regretting it now.

BTW, you guys really love the 7237 huh?

If you've got a good (300w+) power supply and fans that will fit, you might consider purchasing a Tornado 1000 case from 3DCool. Ask them if they'll ship you a bare case without the fans or the power supply, so you can save money.

Good luck!
