Don't flame Jzero because you suck at making poll/titles. Your title ask should Howard be kicked of the air the answer to that question may be different then the poll question.

Good point. I didn't even notice the poll question was different from the thread title.
That's all the more amusing.

I answered the following question:
POLL: Should Howard Stern Be kicked off the air?

Nothing more, nothing less. You can dry your eyes now.

A local country music station in my area just gave their two morning DJs a "day off" because they said that Garth Brooks had "man boobs." I mean, this process of monitoring the radio waves - and then suspending DJs for very minor things that are said - is getting a little out of hand.

Hopefully, some slack is given down the road - because, where we're headed with censorship at the moment is not a good thing.

As long as the cencorship is coming from the people that pay the bills and not the governement I have no problem with it.

It is well within a station managers rights to insure that the material being broadcast is at a level they are comfortable. I never liked Stern because I found the humor to be stupid. If CC made the coice then I have ZERO problems with it.

His censorship came ONE DAY before the head of CC testifying in front of the congressional committee. Before all the heat from JJ's boob, Stern made CC all kinds of money, for how many years? He wasn't censored by them when there was no heat, and he was lining their pockets with cash. But yet, on the CC channels where he was removed, they still use his voice for tags and bumpers, and in various ads. You still have ZERO problem with that?
