*Poll* Should Dean refund everyone's money for misleading Americans?

I don?t know about you, but I feel sorry for those who have contributed their hard-earned dollars to Howard Dean and are not going to see their investment materialize into a presidential candidate who will get the nomination; therefore, this begs the question:

Should contributors to Dean?s campaign ask for a refund on the grounds of misleading the public? I mean he did claim to be the only member of the ?electable-wing of the Democratic party?.

Who here contributed to this lackluster campaign and now feels stupid about doing so?

That's a pretty dumb suggestion. Should everyone who donated to Bush 1 get thier money back, how about Gore?

I didn't know Gore said he was the only electable Democrat and mislead the people...thought Gore was a pretty straight shooter, so no, he shouldn't...did you miss the point with the question, sir?

What is the point exactly? Just about every candidate says vote for me I am a winner, electable whatever, unless you are someone like Ralph Nader. Thier is no contract , no iron clad guarantee. That is why it is a contest. Your poll has no point other than to express your dislike for Dean.

Give the money back? He'd actually have to have some of it left wouldn't he?

I wonder how many "student" credit cards got maxed out with donations to the screamer?

I contributed 20 bucks, and I am a bit disappointed that he self-destructed. Which is exactly why I held off contributing more till there was a nominee. In the primary, I liked Dean most up until he blew up, so I put the primary money on him. When there is a Dem nominee, then I'll give more money to that person. Election money and primary money are separate in my book. The important thing is I want Bush out. I am sick of the lies, mismanagement, and utter incompetence.

This is the kind of post I was looking for, SuperTool...thanks. I was wondering if people were 'angry' and whether or not they would no longer contribute until there was, in fact, a nominee...there's a lot of buzz about the anger Dean's 'angry' supporters have toward him...not many "break the bat" posters are posting much any more....like the wind has been taken from their sails.

Well, took ya long enough to realize that. If only the general public would feel the same way as you do, he would be gone already in 2002 but is still around to wreck havoc on our economy and corrupt the entire world for his own gain. What can I say, people in general are extremely weak and vulnerable when a dictator is in power.
Its like they bark a lot but no bite, lol. so, no action, no result. very sad right?

No, I decided to give a fixed amount for the primary, and I gave it. I wasn't planning to give more until the general election regardless. I liked Dean because of his stance on Deficits. I think we should go back to Clinton era policies and tax rates, which both produced a surplus, and not stand in the way of economic expansion. I care about Iraq only so far as it is an additional waste of money on top of the already huge deficits.

Your poll missing an option:

No, he cannot refund the money, because he burned through $35 million in two states. Hence there is nothing left to refund :)

Quite possibly the stupidest post I've ever clicked on, and I haven't given Dean (or any other candidate) a thin dime.

Of all the times America has been misled in the past 4 years, is this all you can think up? Given your definition of 'misleading', I could turn that question back to you and your feelings about the Prez but nah, why would I do that? ;)
