OK, alot of people are asking "math questions for fun"... aka: having the ATOTers do their homework.
I have no prolbem with this. SOmetimes it's even fun to try and solve a hard problem.

Anyways, what's your opinion, should Anandtech add a forum for this kind of stuff? Place it right below ATOT on the forums main page....

The forum name can be chosen later, just vote on the concept

EDIT:
I don't have a problem with them being here, it would be nice to go to another forum if you want something to do or want a brain teaser to solve. A place where they are lumped together I guess is what the concept was.

It won't be happening.

I see no real problems with it -- it's not like people generally ask how to do a bulk of their homework in one topic or in a short amount of time.

If I were going along and doing homework only to get stuck on one problem, then I'd sure want help. (I'd probably turn to a professor or friend rather than ask ATOT though...unless this was late at night and my friends don't know how to help me out) I never said that I'd want someone to do it for me, just a bit of help would do.

If things like that start becoming a pain in the butt, then I'm sure there will be a bunch of members hounding others to stop asking questions like that :)

I'd hate to have to go to another forum just to give people a wrong answer.

no, why clutter up AT with another forum, ATOT is fine for all the clutter :p

anyway it helps the people who hang out here exclusively to occassionally excercise their brain, I for one would never actually go to another forum to help out (too much work :p) but if its right here in front of me why not

Sure, why not,we can put it next to the "Stridex or Clearasil forum :)

Seriously, there are already bandwidth issues here, why on earth would Anand add yet another forum ?
