I have a Braun Activator, and the instructions say to shave before you shower because showering makes your skin swell, so you won't get as close of a shave. Been doing it that way since and it works well.

Recently switched to the in-shower shave. I'll never go back. So fast and easy.

I trim the beard before a shower, or else I'll have beard scraps all over me the rest of the day. Only do it once a week or so.

You are supposed to shave before to let your natural body oils help in a cleaner shave, but I don't really care either way. They don't really relate to when I shave.

Morning routine is exactly, um, routine.

1. Get up
2. pee
3. wash hands
4. defacate, if needed
5. read mag, while defacating
6. if aroused by mag, masturbate
7. shower
8. shave
9. dress for success
9. kiss wife
10. leave house to battle the day :)

Shaving should always be done in the shower. If it's hot you don't even need cream or anything. You'll never go back!

always shave after shower, and i am not talking about a shaving machine, i mean with a blade like Gillette or shick ( it also says so in the instructions) . taking a shower smoothens skin for which you use shaving cream in the first place. (think think) thus providing a less irritable and a closer shaving experience.

God, how can people not know this common knowledge!
guess common sense is not very common these days!

shave before shower.

I hate shaving, though... fortunately, I've my genes assist my hatred. I don't grow facial hair very fast and thus, only have to shave about once/month.

Yep.

Hot water opens the pores allowing for a closer shave. Put hot water on your face for at least 30 seconds than lather up.
Shave away.
After your shave you should use cold water to close the pores
Use some aftershave balm lotion to reduce (if any) irritation
And you're good to go!
