I welcome EXPERT help here.

I've been able to setup W2K on my PC since Nov 16 and I continue having
problems...

I'm trying to set it up on a PC build with the components recommended for
the HIGH END SOHO model recommended by ANANDTECH.com (see below).
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1355&p=5

To simplify the initial installation, I'm trying with the following
components only:

MB ABIT KT7-RAID Socket A

CPU Athlon Thunderbird 900 Mhz

RAM 128 MB SDRAM (generic)
(taken from another PC that's running W2K OK)

Video Matrox G400 Dual Head

HD 1 x IBM Deskstar GXP75 30 MB each (Master IDE 1)

DVD DVD-105S 16X Slot Load DVD (Master IDE 2)

* * *
I've prepared and partitioned the HD using IBM's Drive Guide software as
follows:

1. 1.9 MB FAT32
2. 14 MB FAT32
3. 14 MB FAT32

* * *
I've tried installing W2K in several ways...

- Clean Boot from Floppy Disks
- Clean Boot from the CD ROM
- XCOPY I386 from CD to C:\i386 and WINNT /S:c:\i386 /t:c
- XCOPY I386 from CD to D:\i386 and WINNT /S:D:\i386 /t:D
- XCOPY I386 from CD to D:\i386 and WINNT /S:D:\i386 /t:D /u:unattend.txt
- WINNT w/o parameters

I've enabled and DISABLED:

- CPU L1 Cache
- CPU L2 Cache
- Shadowing
- UltraDMA
- 2 Serial Ports
- 1 Parallel Ports
- ATA100 port
- USB support

And I get all the variations of errors that everybody is reporting here...

- Several kinds of BSODs with STOP errors (with several numbers), mentioning
NTOS????, and NTKRN????, and IRQ?????

- Continuous Reboots after the test portion of SETUP.

- Not being able to Reboot, unless I unplugged the power cord.

- Errors at the very end of the GUI part, when it looked that it was about
to finish well.

Some days ago, after many tries, I was able to complete the installation in
the 2GB C: partition, I was exhausted, but very happy.

However, I did not like that W2K placed the DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS and the
MY PROGRAMS folders in that small partition, and I did not know how to
reconfigure it so that these folders were in the 14 GB D: partition.

So, thinking that I could reinstall it w/o problem (foolish of me), I went
ahead and tried to re-install it in D:

It has never worked since then.
I've repeated all the several installation methods.
I've redone the HD with IBM Drive Guide several times, repartitioned
differently.

Whoever is knowledgeable enough, please tell me what to try next.

Thanks in advance.
