Fixed, because if most Americans feel both parties are idiots, there wouldn't just be a two-party system going on and any 3rd party voice would actually be heard.

I understand what you are saying and i am one of the people who dislikes both parties. however getting a third party on equal footing will never happen because both the repubs and dems along with the Media will do everything they can to prevent it.

Why is that at all important? This is a poll about perceptions, which ate inherently subjective. It's not asking people to name a fact, it is trying to see how they feel about something.

I think you can easily say that the US Republican Party in its current form is by far the most extreme right wing major party that has existed in any western country in any of our lifetimes. The runner up wouldn't even be close. Sadly, the runner up would probably be somewhere around the Democrats.
